Literature Review: PERKEMBANGAN PERAWATAN LUKA TERKINI; VACUUM ASSISTED CLOUSER (VAC)

Latar Belakang: Pada zaman yang maju perkembangan dalam ilmu kesehatan khususnya keperawatan semakin meningkat. Salah satu bukti bahwa terjadi perkembangan dalam keperawatan adalah beralihnya perawatan luka yang konvensional -modern dressing- VAC. Dengan berkembangannya perawatan luka ini tentunya mempunyai kelebihan dibandingkan dengan perawatan konvensional.
Tujuan: membandingkan efisiensi metode konvensional - modern dressing- dan yang terakhir metode VAC saat merawat luka.
Metode: artikel dikumpulkan melalui database CINALH , PubMed, MEDLINE, EBSCO, PROQUEST dengan menggunakan kata kunci wound care, perawatan luka konvensional, dan modern dressing. Kriteria artikel yang digunakan adalah yang diterbitkan dari tahun 2005 sampai dengan 2015.
Hasil: VAC lebih efektif dalam merawat luka dibandingkan metode konvensinal, dan modern dressing. Penelusuran artikel yang terkait 17 sumber yang termasuk dalam kriteria.
Kesimpulan : kesimpulannya adalah VAC lebih efektif seperti, cost effective, luka lebih cepat sembuh, meminimalkan nyeri, dan long of stay di RS menurun.
