PENGARUH PENGARUH EDUCATION AND SUPPORT GROUP BERBASIS TEORI SELF CARE TERHADAP KEPATUHAN, KEMANDIRIAN PERAWATAN KAKI DAN KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2

WHO memperediksi jumlah penderita diabetes mellitus tiap tahun makin meningkat, hal ini dikarenakan ketidakpatuhan diet, pengobatan, dan aktivitas sehingga kadar glukosa darah tidak terkontrol. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Quasy-Experimental dengan pendekatan pre post test control group design. Sampel diambil dengan metode purposive sampling berjumlah 54 responden terdiri dari 27 kelompok intervensi dan 27 kelompok kontrol. Instrumen menggunakan wawancara, kuisioner, glukometer dan modul. Analisis menggunakan uji MANOVA dengan nilai signifikan ? = 0.05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh education and support group berbasis teori self care terhadap kepatuhan diet (p=0.000), kepatuhan pengobatan (p=0.000), kepatuhan aktivitas (p=0.000), kemandirian perawatan kaki (p=0.000) dan kadar glukosa darah (p=0.008). Education and support group berbasis teori self care dapat membantu untuk meningkatkan kepatuhan, kemandirian perawatan kaki dan menurunkan kadar glukosa darah pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe 2.
